Gelato bean

Mmm…splendora!!!! Gelato and coffee all in one. Gelato is one of Gods greatest gifts. Many of the people ive met arent familiar with gelato which is such a shame. I have a hard time explaining it. I would say it is much more creamy, decadant, rich then ice c ream. But, this isnt a gelato blog afterall.

We came across this place because it was bright yellow and the big espresso sign drew us in. We loved how it was set up and decorated, it was quite unique. The seating was fun and quirky looking. Nice colors. I would say its kid friendly because they have a great little kid sized table by the window and of course kids enjoy gelato. The staff was very friendly and patient with my rowdy baby beans. Momma and poppa bean had afagattos. A big scoop of gelato, drenched in espresso. It was truly magical. Before we get to the score, I want to let our faithful followers know we love you, we appreciate you, and you will be happy to know we are soon adding many new states to our site, so keep checking back.

Momma bean

Im totally in love with Charlottesville! This is momma bean speaking of course, poppa bean on the other hand, takes me to big cities on special occasions but is perfectly happy in the middle of nowhere with his closest neighbor being a bear. Something we both love, obviously is adventure and finding new coffeeshops. Everytime we go to Charlottesville we seem to find at least one new cafe. This time it was Cafe Cubano.

They had a very impressive food menu and drink list. The breakfast was delicious. The coffee creations were unique, tasty, and there were plenty of them! The place was spacious, lots of seating indoor and out. I got a picture of a small part of the menu, wish i would have gotten more. Poppa bean had the nutty irishman which was hazelnut and irish cream. He is still raving about it. Momma bean had the carmello, it was as it sounds,  mocha and carmel, delicious! We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back. It comes highly recommend by these beans.

Yuppie bean

Mudhouse coffee. Ill keep this short and sweet, well short and honest i should say. Bunch of snobs. No body friendly. Coffee cups are tiny. Nice outdoor seating area. Atmosphere is very unique. Cool dark colors. Super crowded. Locals only feel. Not family friendly. Dont even have chocolate milk.

BUT… momma bean says mudhouse is the home of the best coffee drink shes has ever had. The monkey. Banana, coconut, chocolate, espresso, blended up, topped with whip cream. To die for! Everyone must try.

Im in love with Charlottesville so of course thats where i choose to spend my mothers day! (We celebrated today since tomorrow we will be spending the day with poppa beans mom and grandmas.)
